Coneflower Fragrant Angel

Echinacea is one of my favorite perennial flowers.  It does well in just about any soil conditions. The most common varieties are shades of purple and pink. Fragrant Angel Cone Flower (Echinacea 'Fragrant Angel') is a unique with it's pure white flowers and delightful fragrance.

This variety of cone flower features daisy-like blooms with prominent, slightly drooping petals surrounding a golden-yellow central cone. The flowers, which can reach up to 4 inches in diameter, appear from mid-summer to early fall, attracting butterflies and other pollinators. The Fragrant Angel Cone Flower grows to a height of 2 to 3 feet and prefers full sun to partial shade. It is hardy, drought-tolerant once established, and works beautifully in mixed borders, cottage gardens, and wildflower meadows. This variety also makes an excellent cut flower, adding both beauty and fragrance to indoor arrangements.
